Others might say the conclusion and resolution with the father was weak, but I thought that it was just fine the way it was. I was a little disappointed that Alexio was so upset in telling her after he knew how much she disliked her father but other than that, I can understand her POV. Yeah she might not like him but he was after all the only father she knew up to this point. I agree however that why she felt bad was kind of lame and not really worked out, 'weakness' was a poor choice, but it was almost there, like an idea not fully grasped or forgotten and having to fill in what she (the writer) was supposed to do with the next best thing. I also didn't like that he didn't recognize his own daughter when she came to visit, that would have been better if he did and they hashed things out or she got to rage at him for a change or something. It was just kind of flat. A better plot would have her father live. (not to mention the sisters, a sister should have been living with the nat. father while the other two were in foster care/adopted (a half sibling by way of father not mother) and the fourth in the system somewhere else (a half sister by way of mother not father), not two half sisters with the same mother and all 3.5 having different fathers. I would have believed the man having remarried and having another child of his own and that's how the first sister found their father. It's not Freddy's father anyway so there's no real bond there between them. I haven't read the first two but that irked me a little, a mother having and getting rid of 4 daughters. As for the story itself I LOVED the hero. He was understanding, compassionate. A little bit of a jerk at first but having come to that conclusion on his own before he really met the heroine. Then he was trying to work things out as he went along and made mistakes but tried to acknowledge it when he messed up. He also held Ione accountable for her own actions and make sure she knew it and stuck to her word while she did everything in her power to manipulate the situation to her best advantage. While he was strict and firm, he was fair and loving even if he didn't understand it. He was never a jerk to her. She kind of dug her own holes in this book rather than others jeopardizing the relationship.

The Heiress Bride Harlequin comics eBook Lynne Graham Noriko Hara Reviews
I expected more from Ms. Graham as i've read her books before. Ad my niece would say, "this book sucks". Horrible flow, no connection with the characters...i mean, i expected so much more from her. In my opinion, don't waste money on buying this and just skip it.
Really good story. I really loved the H. He had a good heart.
Great story; realistic plot. There was no very much angst and there was enough unpredictability to make the story realistic. The characters were well developed and honestly there was great chemistry. Highly recommended read.
This book is a hot mess it takes myriads of romance cliches, throws them in a blender, but forgets to put the lid on. Cliches fly all over the place. Runaway bride? Abused as a child? Mean, scary aunt? Cruel but rich father? Twins separated at birth? Hero who buried his heart along with his dead fiance? He's A Greek Tycoon - arrogant, gorgeous, promiscuous, rich? Old girlfriend appears as soon as heroine's back is turned? "The Heiress Bride" has them all and more.
The hero at least seemed to be consistent. The heroine's character & personality changed with the turn of each page she's browbeaten. No, she's proud but stoic. She's determined to leave. No, she wants to stay. She's waited years to make contact w/ her long-lost sister. Nah - she'll call tomorrow. And so on.
I enjoyed "An Arabian Marriage", and especially it's hero, Jaspar. I seriously liked "The Disobedient Mistress" and keep it in my re-read collection on the kindle. That one was the best in the series, I think - the plot holds together, the characters are basically consistent, and it's funny. I laughed out loud a few times reading it. Both of those are worth reading, but this one, not so much.
This story was wonderful, funny, warm and very sexy. Ione and Alexio are both forced to marry ...each side for their own family's reason. Ione just wanted to be free and was planning her escape right after the wedding or before her honeymoon...she was not going to stay married to someone who didn't love her no matter how drop dead gorgeous he was. She had little to no love at all from her family her whole life, and she was not going to settle. It was a wonderful story that I could not put down even as I didn't want the story to end. I recommend this book highly.
This is the third book in the series and although I did not enjoy it as much as the first two books it was still a good and enjoyable book. I liked the unusual story line and the fact that conflicts between the Hero and Heroine were resolved quickly without unnecessary suspense. It had a lot of twists and turns but I just didn't like the fact the heroine was so quick to forgive a father that was both emotionally and physically abusive and he never asked for her forgiveness or even showed the slightest form of remorse. Overall a nice book.
Ok...so in my opinion, this book is not that great, in fact, it is the worst Lynne Graham book I've read.
First, it was a little too dark for me, almost to the point of being depressive! I didn't care for the immature nature of Ione- always trying to run away, and couldn't face up to anything or anyone! She didn't even seem to want to do anything with her life, didn't seem to have any dreams, hopes, aspirations, nothing! She was like a teenager- agreed she was confined but hello, did she even get any form of education beyond the high school education we were told about? I have another Lynne Graham book and I'm pretty sure that will wipe away this one off my memory. Go Lynne Graham- I still love your books D
